As part of a rapidly growing company, backed by Private Equity, there is a tremendous opportunity to play an important role in the Finance team as a Management Accountant reporting to the Corporate Financial Controller.

The company has just completed the migration onto a new finance platform, so elements of the role will include reviewing system integrations with other internal systems, bedding in the implementing of the new expense management system and looking for other opportunities to streamline processes and reporting. Working closely with the Finance team, this role will provide an essential link to the IT Development teams to drive through improvements and develop an integrated and robust reporting framework.

The core aspects of the role include:

• Preparing the monthly management accounts pack and commentary, including preparation of reports for Banking partners and other external 3rd parties
• Communication with key department heads to track actual spend to achieve cost control, while working closely with the FP&A team providing data and feedback for the forecasting process
• Assisting in the year end audit process, including preparation and review of the financial statements. Knowledge of FRS and IFRS essential, and ideally having been involved with a migration from FRS to IFRS
• Reviewing financial systems and processes in order to identify improvements in those processes for more effective Financial Control in all aspects of the business. This will include implementation of controls on the newly implemented finance system as well as manual controls in the finance team and the wider business.
• Calculating and posting month end accruals, prepayments and other monthly journals
• Prepare balance sheet and control account reconciliations
• Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
• The role will also provide holiday cover for the Sales Ledger Manager
