Senior Manager, CastleGate Inventory Management

This leadership role will be responsible for developing and overseeing our strategy for optimizing the inventory within the CastleGate Fulfillment network. The role will work closely with Account Management, Inventory Planning and Operations to identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels and develop reporting and strategies to manage aging and unhealthy stock. Additionally, this role will be responsible for developing inventory reduction strategies including liquidation and return to vendor.

This new role requires a proven leader who can define and build processes and reporting from the ground up, work cross-functionally and implement solutions to meet targets set by senior leadership. Candidates should have the demonstrated ability to thrive in fast paced environment and manage multiple/competing priorities effectively. We are looking for team members that are hands-on, detail-oriented, smart and fun to work with.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Develop, manage and maintain reporting and processes for inventory health management across our 8 fulfillment centers (including the UK).
  • Perform root cause analysis for unhealthy inventory, make recommendations and implement solutions to resolve.
  • Drive analysis to identify opportunities to reduce cost and increase customer satisfaction
  • Work cross-functionally with inventory planning, account management, transportation, analytics, warehouse management to optimize inventory, develop best practices and maximize sales and turns
  • Implement strategies to reduce overstock and aging inventory by targets set by senior leadership.
  • Develop cost-effective and efficient liquidation and return to vendor processes
  • Provide leadership and direction to analysts to develop reporting.
  • Provide regular reports to executive leadership on status and progress to goals.

Key qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant experience, preferably in operations/supply chain management
  • Demonstrated experience building a business or delivering against aggressive targets and goals in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
  • Senior presence; able to clearly and consistently work side-by-side with a broad range of seniorities and functions to achieve objectives
  • Analytical thinker who looks for (and finds) answers in the data
  • Articulate, persuasive communicator with excellent negotiations and relationship-building skills
  • Innovative problem-solving skills – dissect and determine root causes of problems, and implement solutions
  • Experience in business and data analytics, Excel
  • Proven track record of leadership, taking ownership and driving results
  • Process oriented, with a tireless focus on improvement
