What this job can offer you
The Senior Manager, People Operations role provides an exciting opportunity to oversee our People Operations at Remote, with a focus on driving strategic initiatives that scale our processes, leverage our platform and inform future development of our HR global platform. This position requires managing a team of dedicated specialists focused on ensuring operational excellence and creating seamless employee experiences in a global, fully remote environment. The Senior Manager will play a critical role in driving the transformation of the People Operations team to be a strategic partner to the business informing global people policies, establishing organizational analytics while demonstrating Remote's values, goals, and mission. Additionally, this role includes overseeing HRIS data governance and integrity fostering a culture of insights and innovation.

- Proficiency in overseeing HR information systems (HRIS), ensuring data governance, accuracy, and functionality, while spearheading automation initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Engaging leadership by inspiring and empowering a team of People Operations Specialists to achieve operational excellence, grow their skills and deliver a seamless employee experience.
- Proficiency in collaborating with high-level stakeholders across various departments to align objectives and drive cohesive initiatives.
- Skilled in devising and executing strategic plans to enhance organizational efficiencies through technology, process improvements, and scalable data reporting frameworks.
- Ability to establish measurable outcomes aligned with strategic goals, fostering a culture of accountability and success. Metrics could include key performance indicators (KPIs) such as employee satisfaction scores (CSAT), SLAs, process improvement percentages, productivity or efficiency metrics.
- Proven ability to assess and optimize People processes, policies, and programs for scalability and sustainability, recommending transformative improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data-driven decisions, with sensitivity in handling complex employee relations issues.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to drive initiatives forward with clear direction and purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically collaborate with various high-level stakeholders across the organization, including Payroll, Benefits, Lifecycle, Mobility, Total Rewards, People Programs, Learning and Development, People Partners, and Talent Acquisition, to align objectives and drive cohesive initiatives.
- Devise and execute strategic plans to optimize organizational efficiencies by leveraging technology, driving process improvements, and ensuring effective workload distribution, while establishing scalable data reporting and analytics frameworks.
- Establish ambitious team objectives with clear, measurable outcomes aligned with strategic goals, fostering a culture of accountability and success tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to implement operational best practices that enhance productivity and create a seamless, enriching employee experience across the organization.
- Oversee the HR information system (HRIS), establishing data governance, ensuring data accuracy and continuous system functionality, while spearheading automation initiatives and identifying opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency.
- Serve as a senior escalation point, providing expert guidance on HR policies, processes, and procedures, and advocating for remote work, Remote’s core values, and DEI principles.
- Lead the assessment and strategic optimization of People processes, policies, and programs to ensure scalability and sustainability, recommending and implementing transformative improvements to enhance organizational efficiency.

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $77,000 USD to $116,000 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
At Remote, we foster internal mobility as a key element of our culture of employee growth and development, supported by a compensation philosophy that guarantees pay equity and fairness. Therefore, all compensation changes associated with an internal move will be reviewed by the Total Rewards & People Enablement team on a case by case basis.
