Join Coinbase’s Coverage team as one of the first senior sales engineer hires. Be responsible for kicking off some of the largest client integrations at Coinbase, specifically helping Coinbase become the back-end provider for other fintechs and financial institutions looking to offer their clients crypto services.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Be involved in IB pitch, which often involves diving into the specifics of the upcoming Prime Brokerage API docs and product functionality
  • Preparing and developing technical presentations to explain our Coinbase products and services and how to integrate to our customers.
  • Kick off initial discussions around integration timeline and custom product needs, as well as help set expectations on product scope and pricing
  • For more standard integrations, help support clients’ engineering teams
  • For more custom integrations or complex integrations, translate client product needs to the PED folks staffed on IB
  • Support minor post-integration servicing issues
  • Help manage ongoing sales relationships with clients (cross selling new products that could be a fit to existing integrations)
  • Identifying areas for improvement and communicating these issues and possible solutions to product teams and upper management

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • Has technical degree and ideally some experience as a software engineer (2+ years)
  • Has experience client facing and in a sales, BD role in the technology field, or technical implementation role
  • Highly personable and good listener who can create concise recommendations after listening and assessing potential clients needs; Product and/or project management experience a plus
  • Comfortable picking up the baton from coverage and working with client to assess needs, support deal closing, and support basic technical integrations (pulling in PED pod on more complex cases)
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure as well as REST, FIX, WebSocket APIs
