Our Marketing & Communications team is looking for a passionate Marketer to join our growing team to grow brand awareness and help bring blazing fast Wi-Fi to your fellow New Yorkers!
The ideal candidate is a technology enthusiast experienced in B2C marketing that is eager to elevate and evolve our brand. As a key member of the LinkNYC team, the right person will be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, able to operate and coordinate across multiple teams, and can thrive in a fast-paced culture. This role is responsible for creating and executing customer engagement strategies, developing multi-channel marketing communications to acquire new users, and reporting on marketing data & analytics around engagement, effectiveness, etc.
This position is based in Intersection’s New York City headquarters and reports to the Intersection Head of Marketing & Communications and the LinkNYC General Manager.
The Sr. Marketing Manager will:
Develop and evolve the LinkNYC Marketing and Customer Engagement strategy and consumer messaging
Further develop the LinkNYC Brand and oversee the brand application and execution across all Product, Marketing, Communications and Support touchpoints, including the LinkNYC website
Develop multi-channel marketing communications for the purpose of acquiring new users, encouraging them to use the LinkNYC network, download the LinkNYC App, and be part of the LinkNYC community
Create an engagement strategy encompassing development of campaign ideas, testing, execution, segmentation, deployment and reporting
Plan, develop, and test creative email marketing and in-app and in-tablet messaging strategies that engage and retain our users
Track and monitor the effectiveness and success of email initiatives using relevant monitoring tools and a variety of A/B testing. Set and deliver on tangible content and campaign goals (i.e. ROI, engagement, app downloads, etc.).
Collaborate with Communications & Customer Support to develop the voice used to communicate with users and evangelize the service. Ensure marketing message is conveyed clearly and delivered properly to potential users.
Analyze how past and current campaign performance impacts user behavior, recommending strategies and campaigns that will increase user loyalty and engagement. Generate analytics reports and effectively tweak email strategy and content based on analytics.
Be responsible for post-messaging reporting, including pulling reports and delivering insights and recommendations for future campaigns
Develop email and push best practices to be communicated across the Communications, Product and Customer Support teams
Communicate and collaborate with the Product Team, Communications, PR, Sales, Customer Support, Community Outreach and other stakeholders
Develop integrated communication and marketing initiatives. Collaborate with designers and ensure campaigns are designed to meet best practices and enhance the user experience
Aggressively review and stay abreast of market trends through all available resources, including direct customer contact, competitive analysis, participation in local events, etc.
5-10 years of product marketing experience. Past experience with digital product marketing (especially at launch) also preferred.
Creative thinker who has fresh ideas about growing the LinkNYC brand and user base
Knowledge of social media platforms including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, YouTube and Google+
Creative thinking capabilities; interest/desire to learn and adopt new marketing strategies and tactics
Solid knowledge of marketing analytics tools (including Google Analytics)
Skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing and executing simultaneous projects and activities. You can prioritize high impact activities and keep complicated projects moving forward. You’ve proven your ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to change.
Superior and persuasive communication skills, including possessing excellent writing ability and fastidious grammar
Possess a balance of creativity with good analytical skills
The ability to work quickly and shift gears on a dime
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
A passion for Technology, Urban Design, and New York City
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Communications is preferred.
