Senior Product Designer, Acquisition

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Design Team is responsible for creating premium user experiences within our product. We are a low-ego, highly talented team that matches customer needs to business goals. Designers at Reforge play a critical role in the business and are equal strategic partners to product and engineering. Our processes involve user research, workshops with stakeholders, design sprints & critiques, low-fidelity wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity prototypes, and user testing.

As a Senior Product Designer on the Acquisition Pod you'll help us capture demand as we 10x the growth of our free product. You'll lead design on a cross-functional pod that includes a product manager, a tech lead, three senior-level engineers, and a product analyst. This is a highly collaborative, fast-paced team where you will have the opportunity to design experiences that connect users to authentic value and accelerate company growth.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

  • Acquisition Product Pod: You’ll collaborate with a Product Manager, a Tech Lead, several Senior and Staff-level Software Engineers, and a Product Analyst to ship product that drives measurable business impact.
  • The Marketing Team: You’ll collaborate with Marketing on top-of-funnel initiatives that promote the incredible work being shared on our platform and bring new users into the product.
  • Head of Design: You’ll report to Erin Mongan who will help you develop in your craft
  • Fellow Designers: You’ll sit on the Reforge Design Team giving you the opportunity to exchange inspiration and feedback, growing together in your craft.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • Help drive 10x growth of our free product by:
    • Developing hypotheses on how we can leverage our product and our user-generated content to drive new user growth and produce designs to validate them
    • Designing and iterating on our core growth loops (SEO, Content, Paid)
    • Optimizing the Sign-up through Activation user journey
    • Growing Artifact Creators and Artifact Submissions

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Non Negotiables

    • 5+ years experience shipping digital product design within a consumer tech company
    • 1+ years experience working on a Growth team or Growth initiatives
    • An updated portfolio that demonstrates your skills in typography, interaction, and visual design
    • A proven track record of driving business outcomes through your work
    • Experience gathering qualitative user data to identify opportunities and inform design decisions

Nice to Have

    • Reforge alum and/or familiar with our platform
    • Experience working at a company that scaled from early-stage to growth stage while working there
