WeWork is hiring a

Senior Product Designer

New York, United States

About the role:

We’re looking for a self-starting senior designer with a mastery of design craft and an infectiously positive attitude to create high-impact work across our digital product experiences. This person thrives in fast-paced environments, works well with design, product, and engineering partners, and is both a skilled individual contributor and is also excited about collaborating with other designers to create high-impact work.

The ideal person for this job is relentlessly focused on human-centered design, cuts through ambiguity to articulate and lead projects from start to finish, and has experience shipping product at a global scale. We need someone who will be a champion of our users, advocating for their needs and ensuring that what we build not only satisfies them, but delivers them intangible value. The role requires someone who’s humble, always open to feedback, comfortable in the face of ambiguity, and is excited about our mission to empower our 500,000+ members to make a life, not just a living.

If you’re interested in building community, excited about reimagining the future of work, and want to work on industry-defining innovations at an unmatched scale, we’d love to hear from you.

Once here, you will:

  • Define and drive design quality, practice, and offerings that meet both business and user goals, as well as promote the use of design principles and techniques.

  • Champion both design and design process by presenting your work cross-functionally, effectively articulating design rationale to gather stakeholder buy-in.

  • Manage the end-to-end product building experience from project set up, to product design and development across our company initiatives.

  • Work alongside a long list of product partners to problem solve, scope, build, test, and roll out consistently amazing results.

  • Participate in partner and customer interactions, collaborating cross-functionally across a wide range of functions and stakeholders, such as sales, marketing, corporate communications, etc.

  • Turn insights from data analytics and research into tangible design concepts.

  • Solution around complex problems with brilliant design-centric ideas.

  • Identify design process gaps or inefficiencies and contribute to improvements.

  • Help cultivate a strong design culture within a much larger tech organization.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of design experience.

  • BA/BS degree in Design, Interaction Design, or a related/equivalent practical experience.

  • Evidence of pushing great work into various markets.

  • Experience designing on multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Mobile web, Desktop, etc.)

  • Work for both client-facing and internal-facing projects — ideally across many business functions.

  • Up-to-date with current design trends across various industries that can be tied to various business lines.

  • Evidence of having launched and/or proposed design solutions to business problems that have influenced the direction and outcome of shipped products.
