Who we are looking for

Brosa is looking for experienced Senior Product Designer to join our team. As a designer, you will partner with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to create value for our customers. You will participate in all phases of the product development, from discovery to delivery, to iteration. There’s a variety of design questions we face each day, like:


  • How do we help people transition from a historically offline purchase journey to confidently evaluating and buying online?
  • How do we create a calm and simple shopping experience that’s also impactful for the business?
  • How do we help customers with interior design & decoration needs more broadly?
  • How do we create scalable tools for our Stylists in Studio?


We don’t expect you to tick all the boxes, because we know the right person for the job will be able to learn what they need to succeed in their role. The successful designer will bring craft mastery, collaboration and critical thinking to the team.


You have

  • 5-7+ years of experience with a track record of shipping impactful design
  • An ability to think in design systems, making experiences and evolving our design system to greater heights
  • A superpower with interaction or visual design
  • Experience designing for web and embrace best practices for responsive design (we are a mobile web-first design team)
  • Experience in all stages of the design process from concept to delivery
  • Capable of working with an existing design process and helping grow it
  • Comfortable with constructive feedback and an iterative approach
  • Comfortable with consuming research outputs and creating customer-first solutions through divergent methodologies

Ideally:

  • Experience designing for the consumer space
  • Effective prototyping skills allow us to test with real people long before shipping
  • Experience with Adobe XD and other adobe tools used by other teams
  • Experience with workshop facilitation and discovery sessions
  • Worked in an Agile Product environment (Kanban)
  • Experimentation programs with a test and learn approach


You will

  • Take ownership of design improvements and provide new life to the product
  • Design with the customer’s needs as the forefront
  • Apply human-centred design principles to the design process
  • Conduct customer research and staying ahead of the upcoming trends
  • Design wireframes, applications and user flow diagrams
  • Provide detailed process of priority features
  • Incorporate the appropriate branding and communication throughout the design
  • Manage multiple design projects


What success looks like

In the first month, you will get to have a full induction with the Product team and get fully acquainted with the project. You will start with conducting market research to get a full grasp of our customers' needs. By the second month you will have started actively working on the design process.


The team

You will be a part of a highly talented team here at Brosa. You will focus primarily on the consumer experience at Brosa.com.au. This role will report to the Product Design Manager, and be working within a dedicated cross-functional product team to deliver experiences and value that’s aligned with the company's mission and OKRs.
