We are seeking Quality Assurance Engineers who can help us keep our focus on quality and clinical safety, so we can deliver help the most benefit to patients.

All engineering teams operate on Agile principles and you will be help us to continuously improve. You will advocate for quality, especially for patients' health, data security and experience. You require a strong understanding of software engineering as well as quality assurance experience in order to fulfil this vital part of the role.

Your responsibilities:

  • Have a deep understanding of the products and systems you are testing, both functionally and technically
  • Help design, build and maintain automation test frameworks, spearheading behaviour-driven development (BDD)
  • Engage in Scrum ceremonies, assist in writing clear and accurate tickets, and help with planning and estimation of work
  • Ensure the traceability of all testing and verification, working in a regulated healthcare environment
  • Assist with achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance of products for CE marking and ISO standards
  • Help drive a culture of quality, keeping keeping us focused on delivering for patients and clinicians
  • Challenge assumptions, and be an agent for change in our processes and behaviour

Requirements

Your skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience of building and maintaining automated test frameworks spanning the test pyramid
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as JavaScript or Python
  • Proficiency in cross-browser testing, using tools such as Selenium or Cypress.io
  • Experience writing suites of tests, using BDD-style features and scenarios, with tools and libraries such as CucumberJS or Behave
  • Experience of testing API contracts, manually and automated, using tools such as Postman and Newman
  • Experience of CICD tools such as CircleCI and Jenkins
  • Comfortable with testing and debugging HTTP communication using tools such as Charles and Fiddler
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Familiarity with Docker, and ideally with apps running in Kubernetes

Your desirable experience:

  • Degree in science based subject
  • Ability to perform code review of software written by other members of the engineering team
  • Experience of working in the healthcare industry, and especially with the NHS
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment e.g. Scrum or Kanban
  • Familiarity with testing Android and iOS mobile applications
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest and Chai
  • 2+ years of experience with Python or JavaScript
  • Familiarity with testing microservices
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment, and especially with CE marked products
  • Experience of complying with standards such as ISO 13485 or 27001
