Senior QA Engineer

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will report to the Vice President of Engineering and take full responsibility for the software quality assurance process at TAVHealth. You will manage a small team of QA Engineers to create and maintain a suite of automated tests that can effectively perform system integration and regression testing with little or no manual interaction. You will also be responsible for manual testing as necessary to ensure that applications are ready to be released into production.

This role will work closely with the technical leads for software development, product managers, and other departments to create a comprehensive plan for quality assurance, including clear paths of communication about new releases and defect resolution. You will be responsible for managing tickets in Jira as necessary and for documenting policies and procedures in Confluence.

Requirements


  • 6+ years of QA experience with web applications
  • 2+ years of experience leading a small team of QA Engineers
  • Deep experience with automated browser-based testing platforms such as Selenium, Cypress, or Puppeteer
  • Experience managing RainforestQA test scripts is a plus
  • Experience with Groovy and Grails or similar platforms is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in agile development
  • Software Development/Management - Ability to design, write, test, debug/troubleshoot, and maintain the source code of computer programs and to manage and maintain software in an organization.

  • Technical Prowess/SME - Ability to quickly get to know our products, processes, and business needs to a sufficient level to drive projects, improvements, and enhancements.
  • Create and maintain Software Quality Assurance policies and procedures
  • Lead and mentor a small team of QA Engineers
  • Play a key role in release planning
  • Write and maintain automated test scripts that perform system integration and regression testing for web applications
  • Document and perform manual testing of web applications
  • Document and report defects when they are identified
  • Help drive improvements to the build process
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal users
  • Manage Jira issues and work with the development team to resolve
  • Maintain QA documentation in Confluence
  • Working on a regular basis in the Austin office
  • Occasional travel to San Antonio and other cities nationwide
  • Frequent remote collaboration with colleagues in other cities
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoys working with people to address their needs, and being a partner in achieving good health
