About the role

To ensure client satisfaction through a hands-on, dynamic approach to retail account management.  To achieve account focused personal sales targets; maximising profits through effective key account management.  Build market share by growing the tier one retail accounts.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Head of Retail to grow the existing retail accounts and onboard new ones
  • Assist the Head of Retail by managing day to day relationships with the core service providers (brand ambassadors, logistics companies & merchandising providers)
  • Provide analysis and insight into individual retailers, particularly store and product level trading analysis and performance, which will provide recommendations to drive sales further or determine root cause analysis.
  • Manage and maintain critical paths for key retail and IT projects in line with agreed milestones - Develop rollout plans for new retailers
  • Manage rollout of seasonal activity in retailers
  • Work with the Field Merchandising Manager to: Ensure the merchandising of all in store units is at an optimal level; Execute seasonal rollout plans; Execute new store rollout plans; Execute promotional activity
  • Work with the Head of Retail to manage the promotional calendar within retailers.
  • Conduct regular review of product, retailer, brand and store sales.
  • Collaborate with retailers to review, influence and agree on unit location proposals.
  • Monitor competitor activity closely, providing feedback to Head of Retail and Buying on new product launches.

About you

This position would suit a current buyer or merchandiser currently within a retailer or an individual from a supplier background with experience as a National Account Manager, managing a Tier 1 retail account.

  • A Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Experienced at negotiating with business leaders / retailers at a senior level
  • Project management experience – particularly with multiple internal and external parties
  • Proven delivery of commercial targets
  • Strong analytical skills – Particularly and Product and Store level
  • Outstanding communicator and team player
  • Experience in project managing and landing complex Retail focused IT projects.
