Senior Revenue Billing Accountant (Remote)

Orum has an opening for a Senior Revenue/Billing Accountant to join our growing accounting team. The Revenue Accountant has primary responsibility for all functions related to the accurate recognition of revenue in accordance with ASC 606. This role will be responsible for being a subject area expert on revenue recognition and will work closely with the sales and executive team.

Responsibilities:

• Determine revenue recognition and perform revenue analysis

• Shape standard contracts and standard offerings to consider revenue recognition issues

• Process customer invoices in a high volume transaction environment

• Identify and promote invoicing and revenue recognition best practices/process improvement

• Support audit activities and be the main point of contact for all revenue cycle testing and explanations

• Review customer contracts for proper revenue recognition

• Prepare journal entries required for monthly revenue recognition/billing process

• Maintain and develop models to track customer contract renewals, amendments, and terminations

• Perform activities related to cash receipts and application to customer invoices

• Perform complete setup of new customer accounts and customer account changes

• Communicate directly with customers regarding billing and collection issues

• Identify and implement process improvements within current processes and systems

• Special projects as assigned

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 if you're selected, we'll make an offer within this range that matches the experience you're coming with. We respect your time and don't intend to waste it.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration

• 4+ years of accounting or related finance experience

• Prior revenue accounting experience, software-as-a-service (SaaS) revenue accounting experience a plus

• Working knowledge of ASC 606 is a requirement

• Prior systems implementation / data migration experience a plus

• Advanced MS Excel knowledge required

• SaaSOptics and Salesforce experience a plus
