Senior Software Engineer (Front-End), Ad Solutions

Software Engineer, Ad Solutions will be a part of the cross-functional team dedicated to address the product and reporting needs in the area of ad solutions.
The team will be responsible for launching new product ads, continuously improving our programmatic stack as well as producing tools generating insight to meet the growing needs of our clients. 

 

What will you do:

  • Researching and integrating new tech and solutions (video players, ad providers etc.)
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining code for Brainly platform to enhance the great learning experience for our users, specifically related to ads stack
  • Creating ads stack application architecture
  • Building and improving our video and display ads stack solution
  • Building ads monitoring system
  • Solving complex challenges such as performance, scalability, and security
  • Collaborating with other software engineers to design scalable services, plan feature roll-out, and ensure high reliability and performance of your deliverables
  • Conducting code reviews, contributing high-quality documentation and building robust test suites for your features

 

We expect you to have:

  • Excellent knowledge of modern JavaScript (ESNext)
  • Experience with building ads solutions, including knowledge of Google Publisher Tag / Amazon TAM / similar solution or experience in the ads field
  • Knowledge of video stack ecosystem on the web
  • Knowledge of React and its ecosystem
  • Experience in testing with JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience in Responsive Web Design
  • Great knowledge of modern CSS methodology (i.e. BEM)
  • Experience in CSS Flexbox Layout
  • Knowledge of best practices in Website, JavasScript and Mobile performance and optimization topic
  • Fluency in English
  • And at least one of the following:
    • Knowledge of Prebid.js
    • Knowledge of Iframes
    • Ability to optimize the application performance - managing code-splitting, asset delivery, optimizing rendering times etc.
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience with GraphQL
    • Experience in CSS Grid Layout
    • Experience in mobile-first approach in Responsive Web Design
    • Experience in End-to-End testing
    • Production experience in Service Workers

 

Our stack, that you’ll be working with:

  • Multi-package, multi-repository project, using NPM repo + yarn workspaces
  • Main tech stack: Vanilla JS, React, Redux, Apollo GraphQL
  • Sass (SCSS), CSS Modules
  • Building with Webpack and Babel
  • Type-checking with Flow, linting with Prettier, ESlint, Sass Lint
  • Testing with Jest (enzyme for React) and Cypress
  • Server-side in PHP (Symfony)
  • A/B testing
  • Continuous delivery

 

Additional details:

  • Location: Kraków/Barcelona or remotely from Poland/Spain
  • Salary: 15 000 - 23 000 PLN gross/ monthly, employment contract
