About the team

Our technology team accounts for approximately a quarter of the workforce. As an engineer, we encourage direct collaboration with the wider business, and you'd be able to engage directly with anyone across the whole company in order to get the job done. We’re transparent, running regular tech demos every Friday, to show the business what we have been working on. This gives everyone insight and accelerates collaboration.

About you and your work

As a Senior Salesforce Engineer, you will be part of our Salesforce Community, led by a Lead Salesforce Engineer and consisting of both Admins and Developers. You’ll work within one of our vertical Engineering teams building the Salesforce components that support the mortgage application processes used by our brokers and borrowers. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be a key part of a fast-growing and business-critical department.

This is what a typical day might look like:

• Take part in daily standups
• Go through the project board to evaluate the work to be done
• Collaborate with the team to identify and implement the best Salesforce architectural solutions using native Salesforce and custom technologies
• Implement the stories with good code coverage
• Collaborate with the QA Engineers, Business Analysts and key business users to test the stories
• Release your code into production via deployment tools

Ideally you’ll have:

• Salesforce Certified Developer 1 and 2 certifications
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce developer
• Experience of Salesforce.com customization functionality - Declarative & Programmatic
• Experience of Apex, Triggers, Lightning Web Components and Flows
• Experience writing Apex unit tests
• Knowledge of Jest Tests for LWC
• Deep knowledge of and experience with Integrations (SOAP, REST, Bulk APIs)
• Knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and use of Version Control with Salesforce
• Understanding of object-oriented design and patterns
• Experience with third-party integrations, in particular with Conga, Pardot, Twilio

Please note that we will be conducting initial interviews in December, with a view to completing the interview process in January 2023.
