Job Summary: 

As the Sourcing Associate, you will play a key role in our diversification and product development efforts at Ruggable. You will serve as both a decision-maker and an innovative thinker for the Operations team. More specifically, you will support sourcing for several of our best-selling products and drive continuous improvement with our vendors. You will be responsible for analyzing cost,  evaluating samples against technical specifications, providing  clear and concise feedback to internal partners and vendors in order to expand and improve our global supplier base.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Build strong relationships with Ruggable factories, vendors, and cross-functional teams to help foster an environment of partnership and trust
  • Maintain daily communication with vendors to ensure alignment, manage performance, and improve reliability
  • Work hand-in-hand with our Product Development team to bring innovative new products to market
  • Review, simplify and translate technical fabric specifications for cross functional partners  
  • Manage vendor-facing projects and processes, including building new tools to improve speed and reliability 
  • Organize and prioritize technical packages, cost breakdowns, and production tracking
  • Execute on critical pillars of our broader sourcing strategy, e.g. accelerating our time to market on newly developed products
  • Ensure that all seasonal calendar deadlines are met, issues are raised, and the team is updated in a timely manner
  • Support Sourcing initiatives in researching  new markets and identifying suppliers to further stabilize and fill assortment gaps 
  • Partner with the team to onboard new regions, suppliers, and factories

What You’ll Need to Have:


  • 2-3 years experience in Textile Sourcing and/or Product Development, with a globally distributed supplier base
  • Experience in textile R&D specifically working directly with cross functional partners and/or mills on development and quality execution 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills
  • Flexibility to periodically travel abroad for vendor site visits


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Specific knowledge of textile, apparel, and/or home decor (textile, trim, packaging, garment) manufacturing and supply chain
  • Highly engaged and qualified supplier base contacts


  • $80,000 - $110,000 per year base salary
  • Annual bonus that varies based on level of role
  • Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company-sponsored 401K plan
