Senior Tax Analyst

In this role, you will assist on our international direct tax matters including tax provision and tax compliance from a US GAAP and statutory perspective, as well as research on tax planning projects and participate in cross functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support the international component of the worldwide US GAAP tax provision, tax reserves (FIN 48) and related disclosures;
  • Ensure compliance with US and international tax laws and regulations, US GAAP, SOX and process improvements;
  • Review, analyze and maintain support for valuation allowances and the impact of stock compensation;
  • Manage monthly and quarterly close activities including tax journal entries, tax account  reconciliations;
  • Coordinate with US service providers in the preparation / review of quarterly compliance deliverables and requirements and assist in information gathering;
  • Actively partner with foreign service providers on local tax matters (income tax filings, withholding tax, tax audits, tax payments etc.);
  • Understand billing and reporting systems and providing system requirements related to changing tax laws or business operations;
  • Monitor transfer pricing policies and related documentation (including intercompany agreements);
  • Provide support on tax projects / initiatives e.g. strategic decision-making, due diligence, mergers/acquisitions, restructuring;
  • Lead automation and digital transformation for the direct tax function;
  • Assist in developing and mentoring team members in foreign locations, encouraging a collaborative team atmosphere;
  • Building, maintaining, and leveraging close working relationships with internal partners, including accounting, finance, treasury, legal, HR and business operations.

 Experience and Qualification:

  • 5+ years of professional experience at a public technology company
  • CPA, CA, CTA preferred
  • Experience with tax compliance, tax reporting and tax accounting for international regions (US GAAP and statutory)
  • Experience in handling international tax audits and cross border transactions
  • Able to keep updated on changes to tax legislations and communicate its impact
  • Preferred experience in analyzing cross border tax issues
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously and in a systemic manner
  • Able to communicate succinctly and work well with cross functional teams to drive the tax agenda
  • Proficient with tax compliance software and experience with ERP systems (e.g. OneSource, Netsuite, Alteryx)
  • Able to adapt quickly and operate efficiently in a rapidly scaling, dynamic environment as part of a multi-geographical team
