We are currently looking for a Licensed 310T Mechanic that will be based out of our Alliston location to diagnose, maintain and repair Hydrovacs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintenance and repairs to Hydrovacs. May include: cooling systems, air systems, fuel and exhaust systems, brakes and tires, hydraulic and electrical systems and lubrication systems.
  • Read manufacturer’s drawings and manuals
  • Use computer diagnostic equipment
  • Complete all necessary paperwork
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts
  • All communication with customer
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair
  • Installation of components
  • Test operation of completed unit
  • Install heavy components such as PTO’s and pumps
  • Install components in truck cabs and on truck bodies
  • Install and test hydraulic systems
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment
  • Complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Required to perform work inside and outside, in all-weather situations.
  • Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
  • Manual Dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 80lbs
  • Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery
  • Normal range of hearing and vision

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Valid 310T License
  • Basic computer and internet literacy
  • Valid class 3 driver’s license – considered an asset
  • Must have a strong knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Trouble shooting skills a must
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to perform heavy component installations
  • Have the ability to multi-task and work successfully in a fast paced work environment.
  • Valid drivers license with good standing MVR.
  • Ability to use various power and hand tools.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Candidates must be a motivated individual who can work independently.
