Signals Software Engineer (Clearance Required)

What will you be doing?:

As a Signals Software Engineer, you will work on a team responsible for the development and deployment of wireless systems focusing on RF systems using Software Defined Radios, Digital Signals Processing, Protocol Analysis, and Data Flow supporting national and tactical customers.  Your responsibilities will include: 
  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing signal processing software (e.g. detectors, demodulators, protocol processors);
  • Reviewing and testing software components for adherence to the design requirements and documenting test results;
  • Resolving software problem reports; 
  • Utilizing software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment;
  • Providing specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components. 


What will you need?
  

  • 4+ years of experience as a Signals Software Engineer or equivalent on a project with focus on Radio Frequency (RF) to include experience with Fourier transforms, filtering, communications theory, digital modulation, error control coding, signals analysis tools (e.g. WVT, DVT), and digital signal processing (e.g. Adaptive beanforming/filtering, demodulation);
  • Experience with:  software defined radio architectures such as SCA, Redhawk, or GNU; commercial wireless standards; geolocation techniques; sofware configuration management tools (e.g. GIT, Clearquest, Trac, or Subversion); Python; Eclipse IDE: Google Protocol Buffer; model-based design (e.g. MATLAB/SIMULINK); service oriented architecture; and Linux OS
  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.  Four (4) years of additional hardware design engineering may be substituted in lieu of a BS degree.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph
