The Opportunity
As a Manager at Afterpay, you will play a pivotal role in Afterpay’s growth through new customer acquisition. Afterpay is looking for a high energy, dynamic Sales Manager to lead a team of Outbound AEs responsible for a significant portion of Afterpay’s customer base. You will lead, coach and grow a team of high velocity, SMB Account Executives, helping them to develop their skills and exceed their targets.  The ideal candidate thrives in a challenging, fast paced environment, is a skilled coach who is passionate about developing their team members and is eager to roll up their sleeves and work directly with customers. 

Afterpay is looking for a proactive leader who has a proven track record of operating in a high-growth environment, leading through ambiguity, managing high performing teams and solving complex problems. This leader will possess the ability to think strategically and analytically, is a stellar communicator and relationship-builder.

-Hire, onboard, develop and retain world-class Account Executives with a particular focus on small and medium ecommerce businesses in the US
-Work with senior leadership to develop the long term vision and strategy for the team while managing daily, weekly and monthly performance of the team to ensure monthly KPIs & targets are exceeded
-Coach and develop the team in developing consultative and solutions-based selling skills throughout every stage of the sales cycle
Inspire, motivate and enable personal and career development of team members.
-Identify ways to evolve our sales process, including product demonstrations, automating manual tasks and collaborating with marketing and product teams
-Strategically optimize the inbound & outbound sales process including: lead qualification, sequence execution (calls and emails), email and call coaching, pipeline management and performance management
-Provide reporting to senior sales leadership on lead pipeline, conversion rates, rep activity and success metrics
-Closely monitor these metrics with a focus on increasing productivity
-Tactical ability to execute and surpass monthly, quarterly and annual revenue expectations
-Collaborate cross-functionally and globally with Sales Leadership, Operations, Compliance, Integrations, Risk, Marketing, and Finance as you lead the SMB sales team to success

Who are you?

You will have ….
-6+ years of sales experience and 3+ years of people management experience
-Track record of excellence leading high performing, high velocity sales teams in a fast-growing technology environment with particular focus on SMB or Mid Market customer segments
-Ability to hire, train and coach a high performing team
-Expert in Salesforce and other sales tools/products to drive productivity
-Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
-Self-motivated with the ability to work fast & smart independently
-Bachelor’s degree required
-Payments experience a plus
