Social Media and Community Manager

Robinhood’s looking for a social media savant to lead social media and community strategies. You will play a critical part in crafting and refining Robinhood’s brand, highlighting the product and value proposition, and connecting with our customers, known as Robinhoodies. Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will also collaborate and coordinate with the Engineering, Design, and Support teams to understand product releases and ensure consistent voices across company channels. You will be one of a handful of team members to craft Robinhood’s unique voice as the company develops into a global brand.

 

As a Social Media and Community Manager you'll:  

  • Manage written content and artwork for all of Robinhood’s social media and online channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Medium, Quora, and Reddit)
  • Develop and follow a detailed editorial calendar with relevant and engaging content
  • Track and analyze the success of social media initiatives and specific posts using qualitative metrics and online tools
  • Share bi-monthly reports highlighting metrics, sentiment, and social media campaigns
  • Coordinate with the Design team to create the best artwork and assets for the social channels
  • Coordinate with the Engineering team to ensure our product releases (big and small) are announced and shared publicly on our social channels
  • Coordinate with the Support team to create protocols for crises, and establish customer feedback loops
  • Implement best practices on each channel including uploading, tagging, reporting
  • Steadily grow followers and increase engagement over time

 

Some things we consider critical to being a Social Media and Community Manager:  

  • 3-5 years experience leading community and social media for a well-known brand
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • A deep understanding of different social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Periscope, YouTube, and Medium (It doesn’t hurt if you’re a social media power user yourself)
  • Experience evaluating social media initiatives with measurement tools
  • Ability to manage and work on multiple projects and initiatives with different (and often changing) deadlines
  • Strong writing skills
  • A passion for storytelling through multiple media types, both visual and written
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
