To continue growing and reaching our mission, we seek a talented and incredibly collaborative Social Media Manager to lead community development, monitoring and publishing across all social channels for Headspace Co-Founder, Andy Puddicombe.

In this integrated marketing role, you will report into the Senior Strategist and partner closely with the Headspace brand social media lead to strategize, manage and elevate our social presence via an intelligent and authentic connection between Andy’s channels and Headspace brand channels.

How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace:

COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT

  • Manage and monitor all social media channels for Co-Founder Andy Puddicombe
  • Stay abreast of community dos and don'ts - knows what's appropriate and not appropriate, trending, cool and not cool, in each of the various social media platforms
  • Works with Andy and creative teams to create, write and curate the content calendar for Andy’s social channels – ensuring the content plan pays off the strategy defined and will be appreciated by the community
  • Moderates community conversation, promotes positive conversation, and advocates for the community to the brand by protecting user interests in the groups, responding to concerns both in public and private
  • Live event coverage: Responsible for early planning, content strategy and ideation, collaboration with creative production and real-time publishing to support and amplify live events and appearances
  • Excellent writing abilities, with big attention to detail

CREATIVE COLLABORATION

  • Plays an active role within larger planning/strategy team and process, representing voice of the community
  • Liaises with creative studio to manage the production of social media content
  • Establishes personal relationships with other key influencers where necessary
  • Develops short content bits and participates in development of bigger content pieces
  • Work with PR and strategy teams to maximize outreach potential and manage influencer relations

STRATEGIC THINKING

  • Provide channel and community insights and offer actionable next steps on an ongoing basis
  • Lead proactive development of strategies and initiatives that further Andy’s presence and “meditation and mindfulness” thought leadership in social media
  • Raise Andy’s profile through innovative or highly engaging tactics on established and emerging platforms such as Snapchat, Periscope, Facebook Live, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
  • Deep understanding of brand tone and knowledge

What you’ve accomplished:

2+ years of professional experience working in a social media strategy or community management capacity

Experience with live event social media coverage is a must

Influencer/Celebrity social management experience is a plus

Solid craft skills and track record for excellence in all core areas:

    • Community management
    • Social media monitoring
    • Channel and content planning
    • Creative collaboration
    • Written and verbal communication
    • Performance tracking and reporting

Global and/or multicultural experience is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree
