Chronus Software is looking for a Software Development Engineer that believes enterprise software can be beautiful, intuitive, fluid, and fun to use. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and deploy dynamically scalable, available, fault-tolerant, and reliable distributed applications on the Cloud Platform
  • Work in fast paced agile team and responsible for managing and improving the overall health, performance and security of our platform in the Cloud by using effective monitoring tools and methodologies
  • Research and stay up to date on various cutting-edge enterprise cloud technologies and be able to select appropriate cloud services to design and deploy an application based on given requirements
  • Be agile and possess advanced technical skills and experience to debug and promptly resolve any escalation/availability issues from the customers
  • Work on the critical and complex infrastructure needs such as the disaster recovery process, penetration testing, load/stress testing and scalability
  • Be able to migrate complex, multi-tier applications on Cloud Platforms
  • Actively participate in team discussions and whiteboarding sessions with other developers, managers, test engineers, and various stakeholders
  • Implement cost-control strategies

 

Desired Experience And Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of strong experience in designing and developing the infrastructure of the cloud enterprise software applications providers like AWS/Azure
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, must have Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
  • Should have strong debugging experience and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience working in a true agile development environment and aware of the software development processes, and secure coding practice.
  • Strong desire to continually grow in the technical stream by learning new technologies and translate them into working software
  • Background Knowledge in automating Cloud ops for auto scaling, high availability, migration, zero downtime upgrades and proficiency with monitoring tools such as NewRelic, Pagerduty
  • Proficient knowledge of cloud platform technologies and services in AWS, experience in protocols and technologies such as WebSocket, Serverless applications.
  • Experience in one or more Cloud based storage and DB technologies MySQL, Aurora, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, ElastiCache, Redis, S3
  • Knowledge of Big data analytics and technologies such as Kafka, ElasticSearch is an advantage.
