Position Overview

Buzzer Media, Inc. is seeking a passionate Software Development Engineer - Test with a strong focus on automated testing to join Buzzer. This is a critical role on our engineering team to ensure we build a scalable and accurate solution to serve customers personalized notifications regarding upcoming, interesting live sports look-ins. The role will be essential to building out our automated testing suite as we partner with various sports leagues and data providers, each with their own sets of specs and requirements.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work on:

Automated Testing: You will be contributing to our efforts to build and operationalize a continuously growing library of automated tests in order to monitor and improve quality across our mobile products. We currently use Javascript, Appium, Selenium, Jest, and Frisby.js.

Quality Assurance and Process Improvement: You will work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to ensure that test coverage is provided for key features and product changes before we release them to our customers. You will also work on improving post-launch quality by digging into bug reports and helping to ensure that we focus our attention on the highest-impact issues affecting our users.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of hands-on experience developing mobile UI automation in Javascript for native mobile apps
A proven track record of building and maintaining effective automated tests
Interest in digging into user reports to assess and prioritize post-launch technical issues
Familiarity with Test-Driven and Behavior-Driven Development (TDD/BDD)
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux
Working knowledge of source control systems, including Git

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working in an agile environment with 2-week sprints
Experience working with Android or iOS, manual or automated
Familiarity with one or more cloud test execution platforms: Firebase Test Lab, AWS Device Farm, App Center Test Cloud, Saucelabs
Proficiency working with one or more of the following mobile UI automation frameworks: XCUITest, Espresso, Selenium, Appium
Experience with DynamoDB, Cloudwatch, and Airflow
Proficiency writing effective automated tests against REST and GraphQL API endpoints
Experience with automated performance testing
Experience with automated testing of sports media applications
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines such as Bitrise, Circle CI, Xcode Cloud

Compensation And Benefits

Competitive salary between $103,000 - $129,000 - exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
