Rogue Recruitment is partnering with a young, growing tech company in Tulsa, OK that is looking for a Software Development Manager to join their team. This is a direct hire hybrid role (3 days a week in office) with compensation ranging from $120-180k/yr.
- Direct experience of at least one year with React, React Native, or Node, as long as there is also related experience with python on the server side, vue, backbone, or native mobile development.
- Track record of leadership, specifically within development teams.
- Any experience working with start ups is a huge plus.
What makes this role unique?
- This role is a Software Development Manager role with someone who has strong project management. They need to manage the technical team on both a technical and project level. They are looking for a candidate who can balance the needs of the developers with those of the business, fluently understand developers and their concerns, mentor them, unblock them when they hit issues, and also understand business cases and deadlines.
- Day to day, this person does not need to be hands-on coding, but needs to be familiar with it (maybe still doing it on the side as a hobby?), so they can help the development team. Understand why they're stuck, keep them from over-engineering, etc.
- At the core, needs someone who is competent at writing code, competent writing Jira tickets, and personality wise can take pressure without relaying it on. This person will be between the CTO and Dev team. Need to be able to stand up for their team and not be afraid to push back when needed. "You're wrong, but here's why..."
