Our Mission
At DeepScribe, everything we do is focused on our mission: to bring the joy of care back to Medicine. Our goal is to empower physicians with the tools they need to improve both efficiency and efficacy, and to improve patient outcomes by increasing the trust and understanding they have with their physician. Our first product, an AI medical scribe, mimics near-human level intelligence by parsing through medical conversations and creating detailed visit summaries for physicians. With this ambient scribe technology, we have been able to save physicians up to 3 hours a day.
What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a versatile engineering leader who can empower our team of highly-skilled engineers in their mission to transform healthcare. As one of our first Engineering Managers, you’ll lead your teams with your empathy, coordination, and expertise. You’ll be responsible for coaching our highly-skilled engineers, scaling the broader engineering team’s culture of collaboration and technical excellence, and owning execution of advancing DeepScribe’s product to the next level.
Your Impact
- You’ll lead distributed teams of talented software engineers who are building and shipping AI-driven SaaS products shaping the future of healthcare.
- You’ll coach, inspire, and elevate engineering teams to do their best work by having individual conversations about growth, creating a culture of feedback, and crafting opportunities to support the team’s success.
- You’ll partner with product owners and engineers on multiple projects to define a roadmap, track progress, clarify direction, and ensure the team is delivering products with significant impact on the physician and patient experience.
- You’ll play a critical role in laying the foundation for our engineering culture and processes by leveraging your past experience with helping teams thrive, scale, and succeed.
- You’ll evolve and scale up our recruiting efforts to support company growth.
About You
- You have at least 1 to 2 years of experience managing product-focused engineering teams, ideally through a startup’s growth stage period.
- You enjoy building effective engineering teams by hiring top talent and continually looking for ways to improve process, software, and collaboration.
- You care deeply about the people on your team, and you have a successful track record of developing and hiring teams of kind, talented engineers.
- You understand what technical excellence looks like and have a background as a software engineer.
- You have successfully participated or led engineering-wide initiatives in past roles (e.g.onboarding curriculum, recruiting process, career frameworks, etc).
- You have the proven ability to guide impactful cross-functional projects in a highly collaborative, fast-moving environment.

- Base Salary: $190,000-$230,000/yr
