The Role: 

We are seeking a talented iOS Engineering Manager to empower our iOS development team.

Your job as a seasoned iOS software professional is to support our expanding engineering in Mobile. In this critical role, you will steer our mobile solution development and architecture, help engineers with career development, and contribute to technology strategy to develop AlphaSense as a top-tier engineering company. 

Being a true Mobile technology leader with a solid track record in modern iOS development, you will be a force multiplier for our engineers. Your team's impact will be essential in scaling AlphaSense beyond our world-class desktop product.

This is a highly strategic role that assumes fast career growth for talented individuals and the potential for a wider scope of Mobile engineering lane leadership in the future. 

Requirements: 

• A minimum of seven years of professional track record in software development with more than three years of experience in leadership roles
• Experience in hiring top talent and keeping the bar for the entire team high by leading by example 
• Experience developing best-in-class applications with Swift on iOS 
• Excellent experience driving end-to-end engineering architecture and design
• Successful track record of leading projects, mentoring peers and collaborating with technical and business partners
• Ability to coordinate between the different teams, making the right trade-offs in dealing with complexity and conflicting priorities.
• Fluent in communication with excellent organizational, problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills 
• Keen eye for UX and a knack for producing clean and maintainable code
• Solid grasp of iOS Apple development tools e.g. including Xcode, LLDB, and Instruments
• Experience with Android Development is considered a plus

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the iOS Development team
• Drive team engineering processes and architecture decisions
• Coordinate timelines and requirements across engineering teams
• Develop AlphaSense iOS application as a best-in-class mobile solution 
• Nurture team members through coaching and mentoring
• Guide the evolution of mobile development at AlphaSense
• Advocate for mobile team to company stakeholders
