About the challenge:

We are looking for our new Engineering Manager so that he can be a key player in the strategic decision to lead your technology teams. The main challenges are:

  • Build or scale up one or more software engineering teams.
  • Cultivate a challenging and inspiring environment that supports the company to retain, attract and hire people who are talented and better than you.
  • Lead a team of Engineers (Software and Data) focused on improving developer velocity, scalability, and testability of Shapes in diverse project areas and platforms.
  • Provide technical expertise throughout the product life cycle including design, implementation, and delivery of scalable build/test/release infrastructure.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct effective 1:1s, team meetings and rituals.
  • Third-party management.
  • Manage team initiatives and deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively with product people, and assist in problem mapping and incident solutions, assessing impact and risk, as well as evolutionary processes.
  • Support the creation of technical and strategic roadmaps for the product.
  • Promote internal and external events that share knowledge, creating new partnerships and fostering the growth of the technical community.

Requirements

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills with comfort in speaking with key stakeholders.
  • Strong problem solver with ability to manage and lead the team to push solution & progress.
  • Empowers others to learn and grow.
  • Believes in a non hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency and safety.


Tech Skills

  • Complete degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
  • Proven knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures within relevant industry.
  • Technical leadership that unlock eventual roadblocks on the product development.
  • Experienced in facilitating agile ceremonies & setting.
  • Excellent analytical skills focused on Problem Solving and Critical Thinking.
  • Experience leading several technology teams.
  • English proficiency required.


Desirable

  • Previous experience in start up of the technology sector.
  • Experience with design and deployment of large scalability systems.
