QA Engineer

Wikibuy is looking for a detail-oriented test professional to join our team. In this role, you will be an advocate for quality and your work will make an impact every day. You will work closely with product management and development teams to ensure that we are providing a great experience to our customers.

The QA Engineer's role is to understand how our product works in a detailed manner and then to work with others to define and execute test cases for product features. You will use a wide variety of tools to test new features and functionality, simulate user experience scenarios, and perform regression testing on existing features. To compliment testing, the candidate will also file defects, verify resolved defects, and create reports as part of testing cycles.

Who are you?

  • You are a QA engineer with desktop and mobile testing experience.
  • You prefer an intense, energetic environment and working with passionate, top-notch people.
  • You execute well with a high degree of individual ownership, but are also adept working as part of a team.
  • You understand the importance of manual testing, but also have interest in test automation and have explored some of the open source tools available.


  • Design and maintain test cases and test plans by understanding product requirements, sample mock ups, use-case work flows, and prototypes
  • Work closely with developers, team leads, other QA members, and product owners/managers to gain a better understanding of feature functionality, project status, and deadlines
  • Perform testing multiple browsers and platforms as needed
  • Execute test plans, summarize results, and report status back to stakeholders
  • Understand and analyze test case results and identify common errors
  • Attend stand-ups (and other team meetings) in order to become intimately aware of upcoming features and changes by proactively working with product owner
  • Work collaboratively within a team demonstrating strong teamwork


  • Strong work ethic
  • 1-2 years relevant work experience in a Quality Assurance related role
  • Understanding of QA concepts and testing methodologies
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively report, communicate, and prioritize bugs to various team members using defect reporting tools
  • Experience in testing on most commonly used web and mobile platforms and exposure to debugging tools
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong aptitude (and appetite!) for learning new technologies

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant technology certification
  • Exposure to automation tools, executing automation tests and understanding common errors
  • Ability to setup and connect to VM environments for use in testing
  • Basic SQL knowledge to develop and/or run simple database queries
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience using web analysis tools (Chrome Developer Tools, Web Developer Toolbar, etc)
