THE CHALLENGE

Due to rapid growth and increased demand for our Privacy, Security and Data Governance platform, OneTrust is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual) Intern for the Summer 2021 semester who wants a very unique challenge.

As a Software QA Engineer Intern, you will work with the product teams to contribute to driving and improving the software quality assurance function within OneTrust. You will help test and identify software defects using critical thinking, varied data sets, and exploratory testing. You should be a current college student or recent grad interested in using your skills as a Software QA Engineer and taking them to the next level. You’re excited about working in heavily Continuous Deployment environments and learning new technology.

You should have a strong desire to understand the privacy industry, including regulatory environments, and use this curiosity to build skills that will support the primary responsibilities. This role is critical in keeping OneTrust on the forefront of industry trends, competitive landscape and continually improve our core application. 

YOUR MISSION

• Contribute to development and planning of all manual testing activities related to enterprise software development with enthusiasm and a natural ability to deliver on short timelines 
• Work in an Agile environment showcasing good organization and reporting skills 
• Work with R&D, product management, and other functional teams to help deliver on test plans 
• Collaborate with different functional groups to identify gaps, prioritize, and resolve issues 
• Manage all test environments, test devices and OS versions required for testing 
• Use strong communication and natural curiosity to provide trusted and highly valuable feedback

• Able to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, and solve problems independently

YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Some knowledge of development technologies (C#, Java, HTML5, JavaScript, REST, AngularJS, CSS) 
• Knowledge of defect and test tracking tools such as JIRA or QTest
• Some exposure to database testing (SQL, NoSQL)
