Software Test Engineer - Remote

Casana is seeking a talented, multi-application, proactive, Software Test Engineer. You are comfortable working at the intersection of hardware, software, firmware, and cloud-first applications. Your primary goal will be to help us develop and bring our products to market while utilizing practices and processes that are compliant with regulatory requirements throughout the software product development lifecycle.

Job Overview

Duties include working with the software development and Quality teams to create an FDA-compliant test suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain test plans, protocols, and reports in compliance with FDA requirements and standards
• Testing software using different methods (V&V, integration, performance, etc…) using both manual and automated environments
• Investigate, re-create and verify bug reports
• Help improve application usability and quality
• Evaluate application functionality, security, and performance

Required Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a software tester designing, developing and implementing test automation using Selenium or similar tools
• Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR)
• Experience testing at the hardware/software boundary
• Experience testing complex applications
• Experience writing scripts and QA automation
• Good understanding of SDLC and QA best practices 
• Interest in investigating complex issues, understanding technology, and a drive to dig deeper as required to fully understand issues

Compensation

Base salary range of $80,000 - $100,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Our compensation consists of base salary and equity as well as a generous benefits package.
