Solutions Engineer (Tokyo)

About the role:

AdRoll Tokyo is looking for a Solutions Engineer to run point on technical integrations with key AdRoll clients. You’ll assist setup from implementation through campaign launch, working across both internal teams and external clients. Your core responsibility will be executing complex campaign launches while building standard methodologies for integrations with our technology partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Help solve complex problems around client integrations
  • Work with the sales team to run the technical discovery process and evaluate potential technical hurdles and specify solutions in the sales process
  • Provide technical guidance and customer service to key current and potential advertisers
  • Preparing and delivering technical presentations explaining products and/or services to advertisers and prospective advertisers
  • Directly accountable for ensuring clients are launched on time by working and communicating with sales, product, solutions, engineering, operations, as well as external clients
  • You will develop relationships with third party vendors to solve for integration of their products with AdRoll's platform
  • Participate in QA testing and feedback on new product releases
  • Design and provide concise launch briefs to Account Managers once setup is complete
  • Function as a front-line technical resource for ensuring "best practices" are utilized.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Strong technical skills - HTML, JavaScript, SQL and Python / Ruby / PHP / Java
  • Skilled with ad tags, ad servers, tag management solutions, pixels and the HTTP protocol, such as cookies
  • Familiarity with leading ad exchanges (e.g. Doubleclick Ad Exchange, AppNexus, Facebook, and OpenX)
  • Knowledge of the latest trends in AdTech is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from a top university, (preferably an analytical/technical degree)
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and client facing skills, and excellent written and phone communication skills, both in tone and technical descriptions
  • Self-motivated with the desire and ability to learn on the fly
  • Collaborative operating style
  • You are creative and always willing to contribute creative solutions to problems as they arise
  • A real passion for online technology and the startup environment
  • You are a strong and organized multi-tasker
