Solutions Marketing Manager

MarkLogic is the world’s best database for integrating data from silos. Today, organizations want a unified, actionable 360 view of all their data and with MarkLogic, a typical data integration project goes up to four times faster. Organizations around the world have relied on MarkLogic for over a decade, but we’re just getting started.

MarkLogic is seeking a solutions marketing manager to join a growing team in a fast-growth, Sequoia-backed, pre-IPO company where you will develop and implement messaging, marketing content, and sales tools that increase awareness and adoption of solutions built on the MarkLogic database platform. Your role will include opportunities to tackle both big-picture strategic challenges like developing plans to introduce new audiences to MarkLogic, and hands-on operational responsibilities including writing collateral, blog posts and web copy, planning and executing internal training and sales enablement, and delivering our message in meetings and presentations with external audiences.

Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of business and market drivers, a way with words, a keen eye for design, and the ability to challenge conventional thinking. You’ll work cross-functionally with technical subject matter experts, sales reps, demand gen campaign managers, and other members of the marketing team to help us successfully explain how amazingly useful MarkLogic solutions are for business and technical stakeholders in a variety of industries.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of highly successful B2B software product or solutions marketing experience – you have a track record that you’re extremely proud of

Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, especially writing – you are great at explaining complex information so people will understand

Ability to create compelling messaging and content across channels, from concept to development – short form, long form, online, or offline; Challenger marketing experience is a plus

Ability to evangelize the product, including acting as a thought leader – you are comfortable presenting to large groups

Demonstrated ability to work closely with Technical, Sales, Demand Gen, Design, and PR teams – you enjoy the process and are a master of synthesis

Exceptional project management skills and ability to juggle competing demands – you stay organized and know how to say no

Strong analytical skills, focused on customer and market research – you can gather and summarize data and also empathize with customers

You’re generally passionate about solving the most important data problems that large organizations face around the world

Relevant industry experience; databases or enterprise software is a plus

Minimum BS/BA degree; MBA is a plus

This position is full-time and is based in one of our offices in Washington DC, NYC, London, or San Carlos CA.
