The Spa Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Support company’s philosophy and company culture through the use of Departmental Legendary Quality Experiences (LQE’S) and Company’s Pillars, to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement daily.
  • Support company’s philosophy and company culture through the use of Guiding Principles and D.E.L.I.G.H.T. as part of ensuring Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.
  • Assist on the development and implementation of Spa Menus, ensuring Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Legendary quality for the Spa Therapists.
  • Will perform as a professional, with a friendly business attitude and conduct all duties and responsibilities as required by the position or assigned by the Department Head.
  • Discussing the proper way to close out S&P charges for treatments and products and ensure that S & P emails are handled efficiently
  • Reviewing the spa soft for the day and the week to ensure that everything is booked correctly and efficiently for revenue maximization
  • Regular daily walkthroughs of the Spa and Fitness Centre to review all Standards and Procedures and operational status of the Spa
  • Responsible for maintaining high standards of service within the spa.
  • The Spa Manager will review all mystery shopper reports.
  • The Spa Manager will create and implement an action plan to continually improve all areas of services. and guest satisfaction. This action plan will be reviewed with the Treatment Manager and HOD prior to implementation and will be updated on a monthly basis.
  • Reading through e-mails regarding spa, meetings, groups, and VIP’s. guest, vendor, sales and colleague emails.
  • Assist HOD with compilation of yearly budget
  • Sign off all purchase requisitions and invoices for Spa retail and Operations and submit to Accounts
  • Submit Capex requests yearly and work through them making sure all requests have been carried out
  • Oversee KPI’s for Spa Concierge treatment and retail revenue
  • Submit day by day and monthly forecast to Accounts
  • Review of Spa treatment turn away reports regularly to ensure maximisation of Therapists time and that all financial objectives are being met
  • Ensure implementation of Marketing Strategies for the Spa and fitness department
  • Responsible for promoting the spa to maximize profitability. It is necessary to be proactive and determine when new marketing ideas need to be developed speedily to encourage business
  • Will be responsible for timely documentation and the discipline of the Colleagues in accordance with progressive discipline procedures outlined in Human Resource Policy & Procedure Guide
  • Dealing with all staff’s misconduct and/or irresponsibility
  • Coordinate any Spa Soft issues with Spa Soft and Group Spa Manager and Finance
  • Oversee any IT issues within the Spa
  • Sign off monthly spa attendant and spa concierge training plan
  • Conduct Spa Induction programme for all new Spa Concierge and Spa Attendants
  • Review that SOP’s have been taught by Operation Supervisor and ensure standards have been met.
  • Ensure that all spa attendants & spa concierge positions are well trained in the LQE’s and Pillars
  • Attend Hotel daily briefing as and when required
  • Attend weekly Operations meetings as and when required
  • Conduct daily briefings
  • Prepare a presentation for the monthly meeting for all spa colleagues
  • Meeting with new vendors to ensure competitive rates
  • Overseeing all retail stock counts and inventory sheets

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management in Beauty and Spa.
  • Greek - English communication skills both written/verbal.
  • At least 3-4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
