We’re looking for an Operations Supervisor to join our Team!

This position would be responsible for strategic day to day administrative and customer service  management of Account Team(s) staff, including: Assigning tasks and managing work-flows; monitoring and improving staff performance; scheduling; human resource management; staffing; training; staff development; staff communication and support; process, policy, and procedure compliance; modeling core values. Capable of resolving the most complex customer service problems.  

Operations Supervisor essential functions include:

  • Directly manages Account Management staff within the branch, including communicating expectations, monitoring individual employee performance, coaching and counseling, and taking appropriate corrective actions as needed
  • Effectively managing a high volume book of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance business, ensuring all required tasks are completed accurately and on-time
  • Monitors staff performance to ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, and service standards are met, taking corrective actions as needed
  • Manages staff days off calendars to ensure service continuity
  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels necessary to meet all operational and service goals, and recommends adjustments as needed
  • Participates in new employee selection process, including interviewing and making hiring recommendations
  • Prepares and delivers staff performance evaluations accurately and within required timeframes
  • Effectively drives implementation of annual short and mid-term strategic and tactical plans established by Regional President and necessary to achieve identified branch goals and objectives and consistent with Region and Company strategy
  • Builds, directs and manages a highly qualified operations team within branch, and actively deploys manpower to ensure work volumes are accomplished effectively and efficiently.
  • Develops, implements, improves, and ensures compliance with core work processes throughout branch, including identifying and adopting best practices.
  • Serves as primary front-line Human Resource manager for branch, working with operational and sales personnel to ensure all HR processes, policies, and procedures are followed and administrative requirements met

Qualified candidates will have:

  • 5+ years of wide-ranging insurance industry experience and commercial lines knowledge
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Exceptional Account Management skills for commercial lines book of business
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication skills
  • All required licensing
  • Demonstrated outstanding people management skills
  • PC proficiency, including MS Office
  • Exceptional personal character, including a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to assist others at all times

Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000
*Salary range variable depending on experience
