Summary

We are currently looking for our first Senior Accountant to support Trackonomy’s growing Finance team! This person will be responsible for taking ownership of the end-to-end processes related to the month-end close process, general ledger transactions, and customer invoicing. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen and excellent communication skills with relevant expertise in Excel and other tools. In addition, the candidate will have in-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, business process design, and appropriate internal controls. This person is an analytical problem solver who enjoys working cross-functionally in a dynamic, fast-paced environment! You will be a role model and live our Vision, Mission, and Values.

This is a full time onsite role.

Requirements

  • Become a key player in the monthly close process by preparing and maintaining monthly account reconciliations, calculating and recording regular and one-off journal entries, and reviewing period to period fluxes.
  • Support continuous improvements to streamline the accounting processes to ensure ongoing accurate and timely reporting.
  • Assist the Controller with revenue calculations for new and existing customers.
  • Calculate, generate, and submit invoices to customers.
  • Manage the contents and flow of transactions entering the General Ledger by working with the Accounts Payable team and configuring various systems.
  • Assist the Controller with year-end financial audits and tax projects.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses and assist with other projects as requested.
  • Support global consolidations from multiple subsidiaries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA (or candidate) preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Audit experience a plus.
  • Ability to manage change as the Company continues to scale and requirements evolve.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization.
  • Collaborative team player and flexibility in taking on new assignments in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently, with a get-it-done attitude. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or NetSuite.

The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $170,000, plus bonuses and Pre-IPO equity. It is uncommon for anyone to be hired at or near the top range for their role, and final compensation is based on the facts and circumstances of the case. The compensation range is broad because it reflects many factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training directly relevant to the role, business and company needs, cultural fit, level, and location.
