Sr. Benefits Specialist

The Benefits Specialist will be the resident in-house expert on all benefit programs, providing guidance to employees, maintaining relationships with vendors, and ensuring compliance in all areas. The incumbent will strongly influence benefits strategy and communication across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as a liaison between employees, broker, and vendors to ensure that Vroom employees receive the highest levels of service and support.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding all benefits related issues during open enrollment and throughout the year.
  • Maintain vendor records with employee onboarding, changes, and terminations. Spearhead effort to drive carrier connections and other forms of automation between policy vendors and ADP WorkforceNow.
  • Monthly processing and reconciliation of employee contributions along with company premium payments
  • Manage leaves of absence including design and development of policies and process
  • Develop and administer wellness programs and communication
  • Project manage and participate in the the evaluation and selection of vendors and plans
  • Monitor benefits trends and applicable benefits legislation.
  • Lead open enrollment process including systems set up, education, and vendor coordination
  • Support ongoing ACA compliance & education initiatives; keep a pulse on changes in governmental requirements and adapt internal process to reflect those changes.
  • Develop, update and presents various benefits related communications (such as announcements, articles, materials for meetings, plan descriptions, benefit statements, etc.).
