Perfect Day is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to join the Data Science and Engineering team to assist in performing detailed requirement analysis, documenting processes, and performing user acceptance testing.

The Successful Candidate will have a natural analytical way of thinking, develop a deep understanding of Research, Product Development and Manufacturing processes, and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

Essential Functions

  • Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Lead ongoing reviews of Manufacturing and R&D data management processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Performing requirements analysis and communicating requirements to data engineers and software developers.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Perform user acceptance testing.
  • Manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance.

Work Environment

  • Office Work.

Travel Required

  • 5-10% to Salt Lake City, UT.

Required Education and Experience

  • BS/MS in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Computer Science or some combination
  • 5+ years of experience developing requirements for solutions in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, health science, or life science R&D and/or Manufacturing
  • Strong critical analytic and critical thinking skills 
  • Detailed and technically oriented and possess the ability to consider strategic initiatives and drivers 
  • Proven experience with business process modeling and systems analysis 
  • Experience with testing and supporting manufacturing, laboratory and clinical and business systems. (i.e. SaaS cloud, LES, MES, PLC, SCADA, LIMS, CDAS, CDMS, SAP)
  • Experience with client server, RDMS databases (Oracle, SQL, etc.), and web applications is plus
