Job Summary:

The Senior Designer will work closely with the Creative Director, creative team, and project stakeholders to translate marketing and business objectives into solid design solutions. They will work to maintain and grow the visual integrity and consistency of the brand. The Senior Designer will manage multiple projects and must be nimble, proactive, and maintain a positive perspective always.

The Work:

Projects will include seasonal and themed campaigns, onsite banners, Web sites and/or landing pages, segmented email, social initiatives, business development, affiliate and Internet display marketing, PR materials, new product launches, offline print, packaging, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop original creative solutions for marketing and business objectives, while maintaining creative, technical and brand standards
  • Provide new ideas and multiple innovative design solutions for assigned online and offline creative projects
  • Contribute to the evolution and strategy of design practices and creative standards for the visual expression of the brand including layout, color, typography, and imagery requirements
  • Interface with key client and project stakeholders to translate design concepts into viable solutions
  • Photo shoot art direction as required
  • PowerPoint presentation template design and corporate presentation design
  • Manage multiple creative projects effectively and efficiently while maintaining priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Solicit feedback and lead design reviews to ensure that all deliverables meet expectations
  • Make decisions regarding own work and make recommendations regarding department, and act as a resource on design issues for others in the company
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Creativity and aesthetic knowledge is key in this position, and your input is very much welcomed
  • Must be highly organized and deadline oriented
  • Good understanding of Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, and Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to work effectively and maintain creativity under pressure
  • Ability to promote a positive atmosphere throughout the team and organization
  • A “roll up the sleeves” attitude; a self-starter with the drive to “make things happen”
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Exceptional collaboration skills

Education and Experience:

  • Portfolio of previous work
    • Applications without a portfolio link will not be considered
  • 5-10 years of solid work experience in both consumer and corporate markets (retail, eCommerce, agency is a plus)
  • Expert creative skills and design proficiency in typography, color, layout, composition, and imagery
  • Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign and Dreamweaver; Experience with video editing tools is a plus
  • Comprehensive understanding of desktop/mobile design principles, HTML, and CSS with a working knowledge of JavaScript
  • Expert-level knowledge of PowerPoint and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work effectively and maintain creativity under pressure

Supervisory Responsibility:

Responsible for making sure projects come in on time and in budget while working with junior designers, photographer, stylist and external resources.

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role uses standard office equipment.
