Senior Desktop Support Engineer 

The Company:

The Person:

The Senior Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for performing all on-site IT implementation and maintenance activities, such as desktop support, hardware/software installation and troubleshooting, network and systems installations and configurations. The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a project team and have strong problem-solving skills.

The Job:

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technology support to our remote and office-based employees
  • Support a mixed Windows and MacOS environment (95% Windows and 5% MacOS)
  • Handle help desk ticket & queue management
  • Provide excellent customer service for all employees including our executive team
  • Communicating with and help resolving technical problems for a non-technical user base
  • Provide regular day-to-day onsite support and ad-hoc off-site support for executive user-base as needed
  • Handle software deployments
  • Administer user access through Azure Active Directory and other platform specific tools
  • Participate in day-to-day administration of critical systems (Azure AD, MFA, Phone and conferencing equipment, printers, MS Intune, MS Office365, G-Suite and Microsoft collaboration tools)
  • Participate in desktop and laptop hardware lifecycles (replacement planning, imaging, deployment, removal)
  • Work closely with the IT Security Team to ensure their guidelines are followed in the end-user computing environment including software updates and vulnerability patching

What you will need: 

  • 3+ years of professional experience within IT infrastructure support
  • Excellent customer service skills – ability to providing onsite, phone, and remote support to our employees
  • Experience working with at least one industry standard ticketing system (Ex.: ServiceNow)
  • Experience with desktop and mobile support
  • Experience working in an ITIL based Service Desk
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products such as MS Windows OS, MS Office, Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows Defender
