Essential Job Duties
As the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at BambooHR, you’ll oversee our financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities. Your strategic insight will help support executive decision making and help BambooHR achieve our financial goals. Working closely with senior leadership across the company, you’ll ensure BambooHR is financially healthy and growing toward a bright future.
Specifically, you will:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations to drive business performance.
- Develop and implement BambooHR’s financial strategy.
- Provide analytical insight to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Drive the annual budgeting process and maintain rolling forecasts.
- Develop and implement KPIs to measure and monitor business performance.
- Drive the preparation and presentation of financial reports to senior leadership.
- Identify process improvements and technologies that will enhance the effectiveness of FP&A activities as BambooHR continues to scale.
- Foster a culture of financial accountability and transparency across the organization.
What You Need to Get the Job Done

Education: You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

FP&A Experience: You have at least 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis.

Leadership Experience: You’re a seasoned leader, with at least 5 years of experience as a leader of leaders.

Financial Skills: You have strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.

Executive influence: You’ve developed excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Scaling Experience: You have a proven track record of strategic thinking and problem-solving with companies that have scaled successfully.

Tools & Technology: You’re well-versed in financial software and tools, such as Excel, NetSuite, Adaptive Insights and Tableau.
