Sr. Product Manager

Rize is seeking a dynamic product professional to help us bring our world-class banking software to market. As a Sr. Product Manager, you will envision, strategize and execute the development of our flagship Banking-as-a-Service software. The Sr. Product Manager will work cross-functionally across the spectrum of our organization, from participating in client calls to driving our go-to-market strategy; from initial design and requirements gathering to long-term road mapping.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

You love to look up and see blue sky, but you also know that, on some days, there's plenty to get done right here on the ground. You are a Product Owner to your core who enjoys guiding features through the development cycle and clearly understands how features will enable our clients.  You drive business decisions, work closely with leadership, and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.

You are comfortable stepping into technical conversations with software engineers to help them make informed product decisions. You proactively gather feedback from relevant stakeholders (sales, compliance, engineering, etc), perform market research, and distill your findings into a clear product roadmap. You understand that feature development and tech debt are inversely proportional, and you advocate to keep our platform stable, healthy, and current.

Rize is an interconnected, API product. We make building fintech applications accessible to our clients by giving them access to multiple financial and compliance services through our API.  In this role you’re required to understand the downstream impact of a change, how it impacts our operations and client implementations, and, most importantly, how it impacts our clients and enables the features they want to build. This role will work with other Product Managers to coordinate changes across the organization - from API specifications, technical guidance, our administrative tools, and our operations.  You drive the changes to our API product based on the needs of our internal teams, our clients, and the larger fintech market. 

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:

• Act as Product Owner overseeing the Rize Platform, collaborate closely with designers, engineers and scrum-masters as part of an Agile product team
• Interface with our B2B clients to gather requirements, understand needs and identify product gaps
• Prioritize features and changes to the platform relative to the key metrics and business objectives this role is responsible for
• Interface with compliance, compliance operations, production support, and customer success on changes to the platform necessary to deliver on their objectives/pain points
• Work with Program Management to manage product releases, handle change requests, communicate changes to impacted teams, and maintain development velocity
• Work with Sales, Engineering, Compliance and Executive stakeholders to help develop product roadmaps that meet business objectives
• Engage the Executive team to steer company strategy based on a complete understanding of the product and its users

WHAT YOU’LL NEED IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• 5-7 years of experience as a Product Manager
• Bachelor's degree required
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• A bias toward action and the ability to work autonomously and take initiative
• Experience working directly with clients, end-user research or customer support
• Experience with Scrum or other Agile frameworks
• Experience writing feature requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Familiarity with Jira, Trello or other project management platforms
• Experience shipping enterprise B2B SaaS products is preferred
• Experience working in a regulated financial environment is a plus

Interpersonal Attributes:

• Highly organized - this role requires managing multiple dependencies when a change or feature is delivered
• Ability to communicate concepts using multiple methods - diagrams, workflows, tables, data examples, etc.
• Excellent technical writing - must be able to communicate entity and entity relationships to different stakeholders to help them conceptualize your feature, proposal, or project
