Sr QA Automation Engineer

Zipdev is seeking a Sr QA Automation Engineer to join us on our Canada-based client team. We are seeking a Senior QA Web to lead and manage the quality assurance process of our web-based products. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in web development, as well as experience in testing web applications and leading a team of QA testers. The Senior QA Web will work closely with development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, functional, and performant web applications to our customers.

Our primary tech stack is C# and .NET delivered on-premises, via Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS. We use SQL Server and MongoDB as our primary databases. We use ASP.NET and JavaScript (Angular, Jquery, KendoUI) for our web apps and Xamarin (C#), Android Native (Kotlin/Java), and iOS Native (swift) for our mobile apps. We use CI/CD tools like AppCenter and BitRise and monitoring solutions like Crashlytics, Raygun, and Instabug.

What you will do:

• Collaborate in the design of QA framework & processes.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure that all objectives are met.
• Implement and monitor test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the service or product.
• Identify and remedy defects within the production process.
• Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure

Requirements

• At least 5 years of previous experience in Quality Assurance
• High ownership, passion, and work with a sense of urgency
• Experience with a variety of different testing activities such as UI, API, Performance, Load Testing, TDD, BDD, and other
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, and running manual tests
• Experience with test management tools (AzureDevops/TestPlans preferred)
• Experience with automation frameworks (Selenium preferred)
• Experience testing APIs and complex UI workflows
• Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
