ABOUT THE PRODUCT TEAM
Varo’s product team is a cornerstone of the culture and the app experiences that our customers interact with on a daily basis. We’re responsible for making sure the products we ship provide innovative solutions that solve real problems for people.

ABOUT THE SR. TECHNICAL PRODUCT MANAGER, BANKING PLATFORM ROLE
We are seeking a Sr. Technical Product Manager with experience in building platforms to help define and drive our core banking product strategy. We’re looking for a Product Leader with a passion for driving new banking products and capabilities from initial concept to successful delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, make a big impact, and help us scale Varo Bank.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for Varo’s banking platform.
  • Drive vision and requirements, translate them into functional specifications, facilitate design, and deliver an efficient and best in class experience.
  • Work with Engineering to align technical strategy and architecture needs within the roadmap.
  • Evaluate and prioritize requirements in partnership with the business using data.
  • Prioritize and manage the backlog for effective release and sprint planning.
  • Facilitate requirements definition across teams to decompose and document releases, epics, functional requirements to developer-ready user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Work with Program Management and Engineering to ensure product ships on time and meet quality standards.
  • Leverage research to deepen understanding of industry trends, best practices, and innovative solutions.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE THAT'LL HELP YOU BE GREAT

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a technical product manager building and managing a platform operating at scale.
  • Experience in managing back-end services and their APIs.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Program Management, Partners and Customer Support.
  • You obsess over engagement, platform usage, conversions rates, performance, etc..
  • You are analytical with a proven track record of using data to validate assumptions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technology or engineering related area of study.
