Vox Creative, Vox Media’s award winning branded content studio, is looking for a staff writer who can handle both copywriting and reporting duties to produce articles, scripts, and other copy needs for our branded-content programs. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, an editorial thinker, has experience at a digital media company, understands social media-platforms, and can create dynamic, engaging content for a digital audience. Basic reporting skills are important, CMS skills are a must, and interest in video is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Write and report as need for branded-content articles, including headlines and promotional copy
  • Research topics and source information quickly and effectively to contribute to our advertising deliverables
  • Manage social sharing of Vox Creative content with engagement editors of various Vox Media brands
  • Write and manage sponsored posts and dedicated emails
  • Master building posts in Chorus, Vox Media’s publishing platform
  • Develop expertise in tailoring branded content for social platforms
  • As needed, write and edit scripts for Facebook videos

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in digital media, ideally with a mix of editorial and marketing responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce and edit clean copy
  • An ability to write quickly in a high-pressure environment
  • A strong interest in digital media and technology
  • Interest in Vox Media’s brands and passions
  • A great sense of humor, self-motivation, and the capability to both collaborate with a team and work independently
