Strategic Account Director

Intersection is paving the way for advertisers to leverage emerging digital platforms & experiences in combination with physical advertising solutions. We’re excited to be hiring a Strategic Account Director who loves connecting advertiser objectives with innovative solutions to join our Digital Ad Sales team in NYC. We’re looking for a consultative digital ad sales expert who has the ability to prospect, negotiate & close business while educating Intersection’s brand partners on our unique story and innovative advertising solutions.  

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key client and agency partners of all levels
  • Introduce and evangelize Intersection’s ad product offering and inventory to buyers the digital & mobile ad community through meetings, industry events and marketing materials
  • Proactively prospect, qualify and grow business with advertisers/brands
  • Generate revenue by negotiating and closing new and renewal business across digital & mobile budgets
  • Reach and exceed individual sales goals while contributing to overall team goals
  • Partner closely with Vertical Solutions Specialists to develop and deploy go-to-market ad solutions for relevant verticals within your book of business
  • Partner with Intersection’s OOH sellers on digital proposals and pitches
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on RFP response and campaign ideation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with concentration in Marketing and Advertising preferred
  • Proven success in digital ad sales, either at publisher or agency
  • Deep relationships across levels of agency
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the ever-changing digital & mobile advertising industry
  • Proven track record of driving revenue through discovering, prospecting, creating new business and growing existing & renewal business
  • Ability to meet & exceed revenue targets and producing innovative solutions for brand advertisers
  • Excellent follow up skills for all areas of sales cycle
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to influence and persuade at all levels of client and/or agency
  • Comfortable preparing and pitching compelling sales/marketing decks
  • Strong customer focus - promoting customer satisfaction, resolution and loyalty
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment quickly and easily
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
