Role: Intersection is expanding rapidly and with an array of sales teams and products, both new and existing, it's important to have charismatic leaders who guide the sales teams to success.

As Strategic Sales Director, you are responsible for driving revenue growth by building new client relationships and helping expand existing client relationships in an assigned category (i.e. Retail, Tech, Telecom, FinServ, and Consumer).

This role will lead sales strategy for the brands in their category and advise the account teams selling to agency partners. As a Subject Matter Expert for brands in your category, you have strong client contacts and market intelligence. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies, along with the sales teams, to develop multi-platform advertising solutions.

You also work with the Sales leadership team to set sales strategy. You will help the AE teams deliver on ambitious targets and partner directly with clients to exceed growth targets across our advertising inventory. You are an excellent communicator with partners and management.

You are creative and know that one advertising solution does not work for all. You use your knowledge of media, advertising and technology to build innovative programs which meet the brands’ objectives – and ultimately drive revenue and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales plans and coordinate the sales effort to achieve additional revenue with new and existing customers.
  • Analyze data trends and client performance, work with internal data and research specialists to develop solid strategic sales plans, and lead the preparation and delivery of strategic sales presentations.
  • Meet or exceed defined sales quota through strategic account planning, networking and use of company resources.
  • Use audience measurement and data to pitch digital media against competitive formats (traditional and digital).
  • Support the goal to drive revenue from a new constituency of buyers, by accessing non-traditional budgets.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Sales for advertising and digital
  • Established “Direct to Client” relationships, and with their agencies (creative, media, digital, PR etc.); category specialty work preferred
  • Strong track record of developing and maintaining a multi-million dollar account list
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Creative thinker
  • Fluent in research
  • Highly energetic, innovative and driven
  • Proven team management experience
