Role purpose:

To support the anticipated growth in our business and to ensure a sufficient pipeline of leadership talent, Syngenta has developed the Syngenta Business Services (SBS) Development Program.

What is SBS?

  • Syngenta Business Services (SBS) provides services and key support functions for Syngenta. With a team of over 1,500 delivering across 70 countries, we serve 27,000 employees worldwide.

  • By drawing on our business knowledge, role expertise and global perspective, we deliver the services and platforms Syngenta needs to grow profitably.
  • These services and platforms range from recruitment to financial reporting, IT support to solutions that will act as catalysts for growth, insight and innovation.

  • The SBS Development Program prepares participants for rewarding leadership positions within our company. Each role will be designed to develop your career path in a way that meets your individual needs.

    As a participant in our SBS Development Program, you will spend three years in a dynamic, innovative and challenging work environment. Rotations may include the following: Information System Services (Application, Infrastructure, Site Services), IS Architecture, IS Business Partnering, R&D IS Services (Research Informatics, Data Sciences, Service Management) and Project Management.

    Based in Greensboro, North Carolina at our North America Crop Protection headquarters, you will have the opportunity to gain broad business exposure by working in various business areas and with colleagues across geographies.

    At the end of your three-year rotation, opportunities may arise in different locations around the world, so a flexibility to work internationally in the future would also be an advantage.

    Applications will be accepted through mid-October. Participants will commence employment in January 2017 or June 2017 based on the completion date of their graduate studies.

  • Relevant skills include: good oral and written communication in English, superior problem solving abilities, and strong influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Good team player and be able to function effectively in a team that spans over the globe.
  • Successful participants will be adaptable to changing situations and will be able to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Due to the global nature of our business and the role you will take, you will need to be flexible and open to working with different cultures across different geographies
