About the role:

Reporting to the Global Director of Technical Operations, you will provide a high level of technical support and assistance for Whalar employees. As the main support for IT services, the role requires a passion for service and a genuine desire to engage and educate. Using your in-depth knowledge of technical customer service you will help solve complex technical problems, exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information, analyze technical questions and provide or develop appropriate solutions related to supported applications/functionality.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Configuring and administering systems (e.g., Google Workspace, Box, Slack, Jamf, Jira, Confluence, 1Password, OneLogin, Active Directory, etc.)
  • Researching best-in-class hardware, software, peripherals (and interoperability, in a constantly changing landscape), and providing recommendations in terms of good, better, and best
  • Performing device enrolment and asset management
  • Creating/maintaining processes and documentation

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 3-5 years of Systems Administration/Engineering experience
  • 3+ years experience in administration, maintenance, troubleshooting and IAM across different cloud platforms
  • 3+ years experience in API management
  • 3+ years experience of SaaS management
  • Working knowledge related with GCP and AWS
  • Working knowledge of networking services and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS,DHCP,LDAP, SSH,SMTP)
  • Experience in remote working
  • General Compliance knowledge (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc)
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and attention to detail.
  • Excellent creative thinking and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused, service-oriented, with the ability to work in a team.
  • Able to work independently with little supervision
