ALL.SPACE is in search of a Principal Systems Engineer to be part of the Systems Engineering group. The position will report to and work closely with the Director of Systems Engineering. The selected individual is expected to work closely with product line management, technical experts across the various functional groups, internal engineering teams, suppliers, 3rd party partners and other key stakeholders to ensure the products are designed, implemented and delivered to meet all functional, business, operational, and regulatory requirements.

Who You Are:

You’re a technology geek. You read, examine and learn just in time aiming for exactly the right level of detail to enable deeply meaningful conversations with subject matter experts in various engineering disciplines. You moderate technical discussions, gain consensus, report results, define and drive a technical action plan. You’re a specialist on your own but also a technical mentor to a cross disciplinary team.

What You’ll Do:

The Systems Engineer will:

  • Gain an understanding of the ALL.SPACE terminal end-to-end system design and interfaces
  • Identify how, based on the initial template product, multiple variants can be developed in a time-and resource saving way. Express this as a detailed Work Breakdown Structure and follow up the related development activities, supporting the Program Management Office
  • Take a leadership role (but no line-management duties) in the development process of specific sub-functionality, work packages or value-added
  • Develop requirements, documentation, and traceability
  • Draft system Concept of Operations (CONOPS) to incorporate new features and provide implementation guidelines to the various teams involved in the feature development at hand
  • Manage Interface Control Documents (ICDs) at subsystem and system level
  • Support System Integration and Test (SI&T) activities, including OTA demos and test campaigns
  • Engage actively with partners, suppliers and customers for the definition, design, and verification of new system features


  • BS Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communications, Microwave, or related engineering discipline
  • MS, or Ph.D. in a relevant topic – desirable

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of architecture and systems engineering experience in multi-stakeholder project teams
  • Strong people skills
  • Experience in agile and applied system engineering including requirements management, configuration management, risk management and modelling techniques for complex telecommunication and satellite communication systems
  • Hands on development experience designing, building, and testing digital communications products
  • Knowledgeable in telecommunications in general, 4/5G and or sat-com
  • Detailed knowledge of at least 5 of the following areas: RF (above 10GHz), digital/board design, signal processing, L2 networking, fronthaul, digital communications theory, phased array antenna’s, parabolic antennas, teleport infrastructure, ground segment infrastructure of satellite communication, antenna tracking solutions, application of IMU sensor data to communications on the move, MIMO, tactical waveforms.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and PHYTON is beneficial
