We have ambitious growth plans, so there is a lot of focus on talent acquisition. Our Talent Acquisition Partner will form part of a team of recruiters based in Cape Town (South Africa) and will focus on the US and Toronto talent markets. We are A-Players who operate in a fast-paced, high volume, technical recruiting environment.

You will ensure a seamless, candidate-centric hiring process. The core responsibility is to ensure the efficiency of the interview process while actively maintaining clear lines of communication with recruiters, sources, hiring managers and candidates (from entry-level to leadership hires). You will work on improving both operational efficiencies and candidate experience to contribute to the overall success of the Talent team.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Provide input into the talent acquisition strategy to build strong pipelines for future hiring needs.
  • Source and attract high calibre candidates through a direct or sourcing model.
  • Perform full recruitment cycle, own and juggle multiple contingent requisitions and maintain high quality throughout the full cycle.
  • Create profiles of our ideal candidate to ensure our recruiting strategies address the right audience.
  • Advertise open roles on various channels (using our internal process).
  • Partner with the Hiring Manager by assisting them with screening resumes based on essential criteria.
  • Ensure communication with candidates is prompt and professional at all stages (from the moment they apply until they are on board or declined).
  • Organize recruitment events (job fairs, career days, in-house recruitment events).
  • Developing and expanding our employer brand and be a brand ambassador.
  • Recruitment reporting and keep track and analyse recruitment metrics.

Requirements of the Role

  • Relevant degree or related experience required.
  • Work Experience
    • 4 years’ experience working as an in-house recruiter, agency recruiter, or similar role within a technology environment.
    • Proven experience recruiting in a high growth environment – focused on business, Sales and Marketing roles.
    • Experience in using MS Office, databases, applicant tracking systems and HRIS system.
  • Familiarity using social networks to post job ads and source candidates and various career platforms.
  • Skills, Knowledge and Ability
    • Expert knowledge and understanding of sourcing and recruiting techniques.
    • Incredibly self-sufficient with a knack of getting started and prioritizing independently (start-up mentality).
    • Able to successfully build relationships with hiring partners in a constantly evolving environment.
    • Ability to adapt to effectively relate with all levels of the organization and external candidates.
    • Good sales and negotiation skills.
    • Good numeracy and computer literacy skills.
    • Ability to be a brand ambassador with effective and appropriate written communication skills.
    • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and always maintain a high level of confidentiality
